121 / Tao Te Ching Quote
Jul. 1st, 2012 02:03 pmWorld Religions was a fearfully boring class. It was an amusing elective to take in a sort of ironic way, in that generally when a school offered its students a look at other religions, it was supposed to be "culturally accepting" or the like, but here it was more of a way of showing that although there were other alternatives, you were all supposed to know which one was really the best. Bigotry - utterly hilarious.
This week had been focused on Taoism and the Tao Te Ching and Rae couldn't help but look at some of the material with a skeptical eye. "'Heaven arms with compassion those it would not see destroyed'? Really?" she couldn't help but think, chuckling to herself.
If that were the case, there should be one hell of an empty world out there...
